1995-2003
Ukraine State University; North Western University
Val began his academic journey studying Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science at East Ukraine State University. In the 1990s, he broadened his skill set by exploring web design, Java, HTML, and programming. He also pursued courses in composition and screenwriting before ultimately discovering his path in the financial industry, where he has built a lasting career.

2004-2005
LaSalle Futures Group
Val commenced his financial career as a runner for LaSalle Futures Group Broker located at the Chicago Board of Trade. Following training, he underwent sponsorship for the Series 3 NFA Brokers Exams, successfully obtaining licensure as a commodity broker in 2004. Since then, Val has maintained membership with NFA and registration with the CFTC in various capacities, ranging from Associate Persons at different brokerage firms to serving as the principal of a Commodity Trading Advisory firm and a Futures Brokerage Firm.
2005-2006
JKV Global
After departing LaSalle Futures for JKV Global, Val assumed the role of Head of its Retail Division. In this capacity, he was responsible for preparing new candidates for registration exams and overseeing a team of over 20 brokers.
2006-2007
Olympus Futures
Transitioned to another brokerage, Olympus Futures, the retail division of the Future Commission Merchant (FCM) - RCG, located in the CME exchange building. At Olympus Futures, he served as the Head Options Strategist, designing option strategies for all POA-managed accounts.
2008-2012
ITG Direct
Amidst the 2008 financial crisis, Val relocated to Kyiv, Ukraine, where he established the FIB brokerage company, ITG DIRECT, initially clearing through Dorman Trading LLC. and later with Phillip Capital.
2012-2022
ITG Capital Management LLC
In 2012, Val founded ITG Capital Management LLC and registered the firm with the CFTC as a Commodity Trading Advisor. He has dedicated over 14 years to educating retail traders and clients through proprietary master classes covering Futures, Options, and Futures Spreads.
2019-2022
ITG Futures
In 2019, Val relocated from Chicago to Miami, where he served as Principal and Associated Person of a brokerage firm operating under the d.b.a. ITG FUTURES, a Guaranteed Introducing Broker with Ironbeam as the clearing firm. In January 2022, he voluntarily withdrew his CFTC registration for personal reasons. During a one-year hiatus, he focused on developing and refining multiple trading algorithms, including the creation of ITG Quantum AI.
2024-current
ITG Capital-ITG Futures
Since 2024, ITG Capital Management LLC has held dual registration with the CFTC as both a Commodity Trading Advisor and a Futures Brokerage Firm, with clearing services provided through Straits Financial.
